My name is Kim, and I am the founder of a small but growing charity project called Purr Love. Our mission is simple: to provide food to local foster homes caring for cats.
Why Purr Love Exists
Times are hard, and foster families—who open their homes and hearts to animals in need—often struggle to keep up with the cost of food. These fosters are the unsung heroes who keep strays off the streets and give them a chance at adoption. Without support, some fosters simply cannot continue.
That’s where Purr Love steps in. I use my own funds to buy food (often from Chewy) and build cases that I distribute directly to foster homes. This summer, I officially began this project, and I have already delivered cases of food to fosters in our community. My dream is to grow Purr Love so we can help even more animals.
Our First Fundraising Goal
To get started, we are raising $5,000. Every dollar will go directly toward:
- Buying cat food in bulk for foster homes.
- Building food cases for distribution.
- Supporting foster families so they can continue their lifesaving work.
If this initial fundraiser goes well, Purr Love will expand to provide not only food for cats, but also supplies such as litter boxes, beds, and eventually food for dogs as well.
