Help Me Get a Car So I Can Get Back to Work
Help me get back to work and my purpose.
Hi, my name iisSteviee Garcia. I’m a drug and alcohol counselor, and helping people through their recovery journey is not just my career—it’s my calling.
Right now, I’m facing a major obstacle. I don’t have a reliable car, which means I can’t get to work. Without transportation, I’ve been unable to return to the job that gives me both financial stability and something much deeper—a sense of purpose and community. Working isn’t just about a paycheck for me; it’s about being part of something bigger, helping others heal, and continuing my own growth in the process.
I had been counting on my tax refund to help me with this, but unfortunately, someone attempted to file my taxes using my information when they were sent to my old address. This has delayed everything and left me without the funds I was depending on. The process to prove the fraud can take 9 to 19 months, and I simply don’t have that kind of time to wait before getting back on my feet.
Once I do finally receive my taxes, I am more than willing to pay back as much as I can to those who helped me during this time. I just need help bridging the gap right now so I can return to work, regain stability, reconnect with my community, and continue helping others in recovery.
Every little bit helps, whether it’s a donation or just sharing this page. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for any support you’re able to give.
