Mobility Scooter and Medication help.

Hello all,

My name is Laura and i am a 61 yr old living in Florida. I am originally from Wilmington, NC.

In 2013, I was diagnosed with a slow growing meningious brain tumor and seizures. A team of neurosurgeons with University of Florida advised against removing the tumo since it was located near a main blood vessel in my brain. They recommended that I remain on the wait and watch. Also, I was advised to have regular MRIs in order to monitor any and all growth. I was prescribed anti seizure meds to help prevent any seizure activity caused by the tumor. Other side affects include severe headaches, swelling & pressure in the head along with vision changes and mood changes. Due to my new medical issues, I was no longer able to work. I was approved for disability which I was grateful for some income even though it was a big cut from salary I received while working.

I continue to drive myself to all doctors appointments until 2 and a half years ago. I was in a car accident which brought additional medical issues. On top of having a brain tumor, I received a Tramantic brain injury and brain bleed from the car accident along with broken ribs and other minor injuries. Since the accident, I was advised not to drive anymore. On top of those medical conditions, I was dx with COPD.

Even though I am grateful to be alive, I miss my independence and need some assistance with some of my ADL and medication.

I need help obtaining a Mobility Scooter which would allow me access more to activities within the community. Also, help with some medication and other services which my disability nor my insurance will cover. Any amount would be appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.
