At Metro Kidz, we've been a steadfast source of hope and empowerment for children and families in Los Angeles since 1992. As a nonprofit dedicated to the physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being of urban youth, we focus on providing essential education, mentorship, and community programs that help kids in challenging neighborhoods build resilience, steer clear of negative influences, and unlock their full potential. In our early years, we were able to reach and serve over 4,000 children, creating transformative experiences that uplifted entire communities. However, due to funding cuts and resource constraints, our capacity has been limited, leaving me to manage operations largely on my own, primarily in areas like Trinity Recreation Center where families and teens face homelessness, medical needs, and daily struggles that can overshadow their bright futures.
These resilient young people deserve every opportunity to grow, learn, and experience joy, and with your help, we can expand our reach once more to support even more children and communities in need.
