My name is Latasha Davis, and I am a single mother of three beautiful daughters. In July, I suffered a TIA (a mini-stroke), which forced me out of work. My doctor wanted me to enter a facility to relearn how to walk safely, but as the only caregiver for my children, that wasn’t an option.
Because I couldn’t return to work right away and had no income, I was evicted from our home. Today, my daughters and I are homeless with nowhere to go.
Why We’re Asking for Help
I am trying to raise $10,000 to cover:
- Hotel costs (at least $540 per week) to give my children a safe place to stay until we can secure stable housing.
- Transportation and basic needs so I can keep looking for work.
- Temporary stability so I can focus on both my recovery and providing for my kids.
I’ve been applying for jobs, including flexible work like ShiftSmart, but I cannot fully return to employment until my doctor clears me after physical therapy. Without a safe place to live, everything feels impossible.
How You Can Help
If you can find it in your heart to give, any amount—large or small—will help us get through this crisis. Even one night in a hotel makes a difference for my children’s safety and peace of mind.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing our story so it can reach someone who may be able to help.
From the bottom of my heart: thank you, and God bless you for caring about a mother and her children in their time of need.
