Honoring the Life of our father Ramón Ruiz

Donation protected

Our beloved father, Ramón Ruiz, was a hardworking and devoted man—a husband, father, and grandfather whose life was rooted in faith, service, and unconditional love.

Ramón came to Southern California in the 1970s seeking a better life for his family. A devoted Catholic, he had a deep love for the Divine Mercy and served the church as an usher of hospitality and a minister of communion. He loved the Eucharist, prayed even in his sleep, and spent his life looking for ways to bring others closer to God.

He was married to our mother for 58 beautiful years, and together they raised six children—Monchie, Beto, Paco, Lupita, Patty, and later, their adopted daughter Mary. He loved gardening, fixing anything that was broken, and most of all, he loved having the whole family together.

Our dad was not a perfect man, but he finished his life at peace—reconciled with family, embraced by faith, and ready to rest. When he passed at 84 years old, our hearts broke, yet we are filled with gratitude for the love he gave us for so many decades.

Now, our greatest wish is to honor his life by laying him to rest in his beloved Mexicali, where he spent some of his happiest years and where the family can continue visiting him for generations to come.

Why We Are Asking for Help

The cost of arranging services in both the United States and Mexico has been overwhelming for our family. We are doing everything we can, but we cannot manage the full amount alone. Your kindness—whether through a donation or through prayers—means more than words can express.

Estimated Expenses

Here is a breakdown of the costs we are working to cover:

1.Colton Funeral Home (U.S. services): $3,779 -- Includes preparation, transportation, and local arrangements already completed or scheduled.

2. Mexicali Funeral Services: -- Covers local funeral home care, burial arrangements, and related services.

3.Religious Ceremony in Mexico: ~$300 -- Mass and related spiritual services.

4.Travel & Lodging for Family (wife and sons): $700–$800 -- Hotel and basic accommodations during the ceremony days.

5.Transportation & Additional Cross-Border Costs: -- Final mileage, documentation, coordination between both funeral homes, and other required fees.

Total Estimated Need: $15,000

With Gratitude

During this painful time, your generosity helps us give our father the peaceful and dignified farewell he deserves. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, your support, and your prayers.

May God bless you for the love you share.
