Support Frank Widdifield’s Fight Against Cancer and Hardship!

LetsFund Official is organizing this fundraiser.

My name is Frank Widdifield, and I’m a retired veteran transport driver, a single father, and a cancer survivor.

I’m 64 years old, living in California after moving from New Jersey over 20 years ago to start fresh with my two children. I’ve worked hard my entire life—25 years as a truck driver and most recently, 8 years helping veterans get to their medical appointments. But today, I’m facing the biggest challenge of my life—fighting cancer while struggling to stay afloat financially.

My Story

Over the past year, I’ve been diagnosed with Stage 0 Breast Cancer, and I’ve also dealt with Kidney Cancer and Liver Cirrhosis. I underwent surgery and completed six months of chemotherapy. But my treatment isn’t over—doctors now recommend daily radiation, which requires over a two-hour round trip each day. Unfortunately, I couldn't complete my radiation because I couldn’t afford gas to get there. I live on a limited retirement income, and the rising medical bills and basic living costs have left me with nearly $4,000 in medical debt and $3,000–5,000 in credit debt—with no financial aid or support received so far. I'm even speaking with a bankruptcy attorney. I’ve tried everything I can, but I simply can’t do this alone anymore.

My goal is to raise $10,000 to cover medical bills, co-pays, transportation for treatments, and daily living costs. Every dollar will go directly toward paying for cancer treatment, travel for radiation appointments, and managing the overwhelming bills that have destroyed my credit and shaken my stability. I’ve always taken pride in standing on my own, but right now, I need help to continue the fight—not just for me, but for the family I’ve fought so hard to build and protect.

I raised two children on my own after a long custody battle. One of them isn’t biologically mine, but I raised him as my own son—and he’s now 38. My daughter is 36. I did everything I could to give them a better life. I worked hard, never gave up, and now, even in retirement, I try to find joy in walking my dog on the beach or spending quiet mornings in my garden. But my health makes that harder every day. Cancer is relentless—but I refuse to give up.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you!Your compassion and support could make all the difference. If you can donate, I would be forever grateful. If not, please consider sharing this campaign to help spread the word. Every little bit helps, and your kindness could be what gets me through this next phase of recovery.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to care!
