My name is Christina Williams. I am 48 and, after a long fight to keep working, I was let go yesterday when my employer learned how serious my health has become—kidney failure with liver and heart complications, and visible jaundice. I am now a month and a half behind on rent and cannot pay the light bill. I have exhausted every resource I can find. Because of a history of domestic abuse, I cannot return to Alabama; it took jumping out of a window to get help, and I am rebuilding from there. I also cannot lean on my children right now due to a recent family tragedy. I am asking for help so I don’t lose the roof over my head while I stabilize my health.
Your support will go directly to past-due rent, utilities, and medical needs (co-pays, medications, basic transportation to appointments). If a platform allows, I’m happy to pay providers directly or share receipts—whatever gives the most confidence. This is a short, urgent bridge to keep me safe and housed while I continue treatment and look for work I can physically manage.
Thank you for reading and for any help—a donation or a share both mean the world. I’m determined to get well and stand on my own again. With your kindness, I can keep the lights on, stay sheltered, and focus on healing instead of fear.
